Happy New Year!  

This past year, I have been working on finding new ways to serve you better, and I am SO excited to start this year!!  So let me tell you a little bit about what your photography experience will be like with me!

It all starts with a consultation!  I've found that your photographs turn out so much better when you and I are comfortable with each other.  The consultation gives us time to get to know each other and we get to plan out your photo session together!  By the time you leave the consultation you will have your session date selected, your locations chosen and we will both be excited about the session!  

After your fabulous photo session, there will be a special Reveal Night where we'll get together again so you can see the photos we created!  This is one of my favorite parts of your photography experience!  I'll put together a slide show, and then we'll go through all the photos so that I can help you choose the best photos for your to display in your home.  I can help you choose the sizes that will best fit the space available in your home.  I will be 100% at your service!  Once you have chosen your Collection, and selected the photos that will fill it, I will take care of the rest.  When the photos are ready . . . I'll be back to hand deliver them to your door!  Service with a smile . . . and a hug!  :D

In July, I got to photograph one of my favorite families to work with!  This young family first came to me when their daughter was 3 months old.  I have been blessed to do their Engagement Portraits, 1st Birthday Portraits, and now their Maternity & Newborn Portraits!  

Miranda wanted to do the Maternity Portraits at sunset, so chose the date and set to planning!  She bought a beautiful dress, and even wore the same dress she had worn for her first maternity session!  It was a beautiful evening and we captured some amazing shots! 

The day their son, Austin, was born they invited me to the hospital to take a few shots of their daughter meeting their son for the first time.  It was an incredible occasion to be a part of.  Makenna was so unbelievably sweet and gentle for her age!  And little tiny Austin was just absolutely adorable!  I could have stayed there all day!  

When Austin was just 13 days old, I got to see him in my studio for his Newborn Portraits!  Even cuter than I remembered!  :)  He didn't want to snuggle into a deep sleep but he was quiet and willing to work me moving him all around!  Makenna even cooperated long enough to get  a great family photo.  

This is truly one of the great joys of being a Family Photographer!

Allow me to introduce Joey.  He's a Senior this year at Bellefonte Area High School, and my first Senior Portrait Session this year!  Working with Joey was a complete joy!  

We started his session at the High School football field where Joey is the lead snare in the drum line, but his talents don't end there.  He writes his own music, and plays in his own "garage band" with his friends!  Yes, he's played a few gigs in the local area, and is really good!  You can find his music HERE .  

To show of more of Joey's personality, we headed to the campus at Penn State University.  That's where Joey really came to life.  The graffiti filled alleyways, the yellow brick walls, Old Main on campus . . . it was perfect for him!

Mindy is not only a talented photographer but put my son at ease during his entire photo shoot for his senior pictures. He was able to be himself and she captured that so well on film. We had a great photo session and although this is our last child for Senior portraits,we will use her again for family photos!

I had the pleasure of photographing my daughter and her two best friends!  This was an amazing session.  To see these girls laugh and giggle and just being themselves together was a total joy for me!   They have been friends since Pre-School and now that they are in Middle School I wanted to capture they're personalities and their playfulness.  I'm sure they years will continue to go by quickly and before we know it we'll be doing another BFF Session when they are High School Seniors!

Over Mother's Day weekend I got to photograph this lovely family.  It was set up as a birthday gift for Nancy.  Her children had talked about getting a family portrait like this for a few years as a birthday gift, and every year it would get missed.  Until this year!  Nancy was thrilled to have me there for a Family Portrait session!  I made sure we got all the shots she was hoping for to fill the frames in her house!

This rustic old schoolhouse was on their property!  I was thrilled to be able to use it as part of our backdrop.  Nancy asked me to take a few photos of just the schoolhouse too . . . since it is going to be torn down soon.  Sadly, it's not structurally sound anymore.   

It was a wonderful session full of laughter!!  The kids and the dogs made it a work out, but worth it!

I am very excited to introduce the very first M Photography Senior Rep Model for the Graduating Class of 2016! 

Meet Nikaelin!

She is a member of the Bellefonte Area Class of 2016.  She is currently enrolled in 5 AP Courses and is still on the Distinguished Honor Roll.  She plans to take more during her senior year.  She is also a certified Outdoor Emergency Care Technician with the Tussey Mountain Ski Patrol.  Her work at Tussey Mountain has lead her to a career choice in Emergency Medicine and she plans to become an ER Doctor....never knowing what emergency might walk through the door next is something that peaks her interests! 

Nikaelin is the oldest of 4 children, 2 brothers and 1 sister.  She loves to ski and snowboard, slalom kayak, and has interests in art and photography as well.  She can also ride horseback both English and Western styles and has a few horses of her own.  She has had a steady boyfriend for the past (almost) 3 years and loves to be there to support his interests as well.  In fact you can often find her on the sidelines of his soccer games taking pictures of him ~ something that is near and dear to my heart!  :)

Nikaelin is just as sweet as she is beautiful and I am blessed to have her represent my photography for the graduating class of 2016!  We had such a lovely time during her photo shoot and I look forward to seeing her accomplish all of her dreams!!
